 Bella
Mare was once owned by a prominent Mendocino
County winery family and used for their summer
sojourns on the coast.
This
grand home has four bedrooms and four baths (two
with showers) in the main house, and a guest
cottage with one bedroom/one bath as well.
It’s perfect for large groups (up to ten
guests), but is
cozy & romantic
for one or two couples as well.
 There’s
a lovely fireplace in the family room, a grand
dining room, gourmet kitchen with a six-burner
Wolf stove, two ovens, lots of windows for light
throughout and comfortable furnishings where you
can relax and unwind while watching satellite TV
or your own DVDs.
Enjoy
the sounds of the ocean while you relax in the
hot tub
which
faces the ocean, or use the outdoor
firepit to enhance
the moonlit ocean views on warm summer nights.
From
the edge of the cliffs you have a close-up view
of the famous arched rocks along Elk’s shoreline
and it’s just a short walk to Greenwood State
Beach, one of the nicest, most private beaches
around.
If you tire of
cooking for yourselves, there’s Bridgett Dolan’s
Pub, Queenie’s
Roadhouse Café, ‘Zebo Restaurant (at the Elk
Cove Inn) and the Greenwood Pier Inn just a
short stroll away for supper or a steaming
cup-a-joe in the
early morning fog. Spa treatments are also
available at the Spa at Elk Cove Inn.
